Solitaire
"According to Hoyle"
This version of the "Solitaire" patience game has been developed to
counter the faulty version offered by Microsoft and is "according
to Hoyle". It's not as pretty as the Microsoft offering but it does
work correctly[*], giving the player a reasonable chance of success.
- The cards are an unusual shape but this should not cause a problem.
- The game is started (or re-started) by clicking on the 'Reset' card.
- Plays which turn over cards on the table or in the hand are triggered
by a single click on the relevant card and cannot be reversed.
- Plays which move a card (or cards) require two clicks.
(Drag'n'drop is not implemented.) Click first on the (top) card to be moved.
The moving card will then display in the 'Moving' box at the bottom right.
To complete the move, click on a acceptable target location.
To cancel the move, click on the moving card and it returns to its original location.
Turn-overs are disabled while a move is in progress.
Good luck!
* In the event of incorrect performance, please click 3 times on the 'Moving' box
wherupon a Textarea box will appear containing diagnostic information.
Cut and Paste the entire contents of this box into an e-mail,
add a brief description of the problem and send to:
